Gray and Lubbers Brawl, League Suspends Them Thursday, July 28th, 2033 After an intense confrontation, both the Longnecks Rob Gray and the Fighting Dachsunds Addick Lubbers were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Bloomington-Ellenburg game. Both players will miss 8 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Rob Gray commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Gray is hitting .289 this year with 9 home runs and 28 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .347, 12 walks and scored 22 times. To date this year Lubbers has won 1 and lost 3 with a 4.78 ERA, no saves and 17 strikeouts in 14 relief appearances. |
