Álvarez and Roldán Brawl, League Suspends Them Sunday, June 5th, 2033 After an intense confrontation, both the Dodos Aurelio Álvarez and the Braves Javier Roldán were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Hialeah-Gryfindor game. Both players will miss 7 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Aurelio Álvarez commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." In 28 games Álvarez is hitting .215 this season with 23 hits, no home runs, 12 RBIs, 13 walks, .307 OBP and has scored 16 runs. |
