Mike Desmond Out for Season Saturday, September 17th, 2033 A blow for Mike Desmond today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4-5 months with a torn labrum. Desmond suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Tortolita Drummers are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Desmond's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date this year Desmond has won 2 and lost 1 with a 6.02 ERA, 3 saves and 46 strikeouts in 27 relief appearances. |
