Ch'ae Cracks 5 Hits
Tuesday, September 13th, 2033
It seemed that Augusta shortstop Seung-soo Ch'ae could do no wrong as the Timber Hawks KO'd the Coyotes, 17-5 today. Ch'ae rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Coyotes hurlers were throwing.
"I think the Timber Hawks were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Hamilton fan after the game.
"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Ch'ae in the postgame press interview.
Seung-soo Ch'ae hit a two-run triple in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
This season Ch'ae has delivered 59 hits in 207 at-bats for a .285 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .330 clip and his totals also include 26 RBIs and 30 runs scored. This year Ch'ae has played in 58 games.
