Zexian Hits in 20 Straight Games Friday, July 29th, 2033 The Gwinnett County Black Cats may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 6-4 to the Chicago Tula, but Qing-nian Zexian continued to hit like a god. The first baseman collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Zexian is playing great and is on fire right now," Black Cats manager Bill Beasley said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Zexian was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Qing-nian Zexian singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. In 67 games Zexian is hitting .310 this season with 79 hits, 3 home runs, 41 RBIs, 24 walks, .392 OBP and has scored 33 runs. |
