Athletic Club KC No Match for Tucker Saturday, June 25th, 2033 It wasn't easy but the Kennesaw Jets made it look that way. Starter Jack Tucker shut out the Athletic Club KC U-24 despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Kennesaw Jets cruised to victory, 13-0. Tucker allowed only 5 hits and rang up 5 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." So far this year Tucker has made 10 starts, tossed 75 innings, struck out 60 batters and walked 20. His record is 6-2 with a 2.76 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .223 batting average.
