Parker on Fire, Strikes out 15 Expos
Wednesday, August 31st, 2033
Mark Parker of the Nebraska Plainsmen put on a pitching clinic today at Plain Old Stadium as he struck out 15 Niagara Falls Expos in a 8-3 victory. Parker, who is tied for 8th in the SA with a 1.15 WHIP, was simply magnificent as he held the Expos to 4 hits. He walked 1.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Parker said, "but eventually my curveball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Parker's performance, Plainsmen manager Jack Clayton shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
In the current season in 16 starts, Mark Parker has a record of 10-3 with 117 strikeouts in 127.1 innings and a 2.26 ERA.
