Mt. Vernon Shortstop Nets 3A Award Monday, August 22nd, 2033 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the M3L Single A, but last week Tom Bancroft of the Mt. Vernon Bulls reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Bancroft rocked opposing pitching for a .444 average (12-for-27), no home runs and 0 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Bancroft is swinging the bat at a .290 rate with 95 hits in 328 at-bats. To date he has hit 8 home runs, scored 46 runs and driven in 42. |
