3A #1 Pitcher in July is Grim's Magee Monday, August 1st, 2033 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Jerry Magee, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Grim Reapers closer, 22, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .196 average and walked away with the M3L Single A Pitcher of the Month award for July. Magee posted a 2-1 mark and a 1.93 ERA in 14 relief appearances. In 14 innings, he had 8 saves, 13 strikeouts, and 6 walks. This season Magee has notched 21 saves with 33 strikeouts and 13 walks in 33.2 innings while registering a 1.87 ERA and a 2-3 won-lost record. |
