Cecil Nelson Out for Season Thursday, July 28th, 2033 A blow for Cecil Nelson today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 5 months with a ruptured achilles tendon. Nelson suffered the injury running the bases. Although officials from the Alameda Airmen are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Nelson's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. Nelson is hitting .194 so far this season with 12 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 12 hits including 2 home runs, 9 walks and .333 OBP. |
