Byrd Collects Player of the Week Award Monday, July 25th, 2033 Paul Byrd burst onto the M3L Single A stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie third baseman for Highwood garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 23-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .533 (8-for-15) with 1 home run and 7 RBIs last week. For the season, Byrd is hitting at a .352 clip with 14 home runs, 52 RBIs and has scored 42 runs. He has 90 hits, 22 walks and a .407 on-base percentage. |
