Clemente, Lionhearts Sink Seawolves Again in Game 2
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of catcher Gilberto Clemente, the Lannister United Lionhearts got a road win against the Long Island Seawolves, 10-5, in Game 2 of the SL AA Championship today. Clemente slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5 for the Lionhearts, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 2 games to 0.
Lannister United left fielder Bill Boyd helped the Lionhearts go up, 2-0, in the top of the third inning. With the game tied, Boyd hit a 2-run single off Long Island pitcher Floyd Cala.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Boyd.
The next game is scheduled for Saturday, September 24th, 2033 in San Jose. Slated to start are Jamey Crockett for the Long Island Seawolves and Hercules Mata'afa for the the Lannister United Lionhearts.
