Buzz Win, Move to Within 1 Game of Round 2
|
Despite a great performance by Tremont starter Lorenzo Sánchez, the Salt Lake City Buzz defeated the Doubledays by the score of 4-1 at Doubledays Stadium today. Sánchez threw 6 innings of shutout ball to earn player of the game honors, but could not prevent the Buzz from moving one game closer to the Round 2. Salt Lake City now leads the SL AAA Championship 3-1.
Orlando Casillas had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth for the Buzz. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Salt Lake City trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Casillas.
