Tremont Breaks Through for First Win in SL AAA Championship; Now Trails 2-1
The Tremont Doubledays have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Salt Lake City Buzz, winning 6-1 at Doubledays Stadium today. Doubledays right-hander Bob Shepard was named player of the game after he threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Doubledays to 2-1 in the best-of-5 SL AAA Championship.

Tremont first baseman Dan Chrzan contributed to the cause with a double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Chrzan went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk.

"I really like what we did out there today," Chrzan said after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Doubledays Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Javier Romero for Salt Lake City and Lorenzo Sánchez for Tremont.
