Raucous Jerome Grounds Crowd Propels Nobles to 3-1 Victory; Series Tied at 2
The Bakersfield Nobles and the Plymouth Rocks will take the PL AAA Championship to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation today, the Nobles beat the Rocks 3-1 at Jerome Grounds to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Bakersfield right-hander Cameron Frye was named player of the game in the win after he threw 5 innings allowing 1 run.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Dave Hulton didn't flinch. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Plymouth trailing 3-1, Hulton retired Adrian McCoy to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Hulton, with a wink.

The next game is scheduled for Tuesday, September 27th, 2033 at Plymouth Quarry. Slated to start are Eugene Clarkston for the Bakersfield Nobles and Zaki Fakhiri for the the Plymouth Rocks.
