KENNESAW JETS AT CONNETQUOT CHIEFS

Francia, Jets Wallop Chiefs in Game 3 of R1
The Kennesaw Jets went into extra innings against the Connetquot Chiefs but ultimately moved to within one game of the Round 2 today. The Jets downed the Chiefs at The Big Teepee by a score of 6-5. Kennesaw catcher Joam Francia was named player of the game after he was 2-5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The win gives the Jets a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 SL A Championship.

Lorenzo Trujillo had a nice at-bat for the Jets with one out in the top of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the first baseman reached on an error by the 1B, which would prove important in the Kennesaw win.

"It feels good to get this one," Trujillo told the Kennesaw News.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Big Teepee in Ronkonkoma. Slated to start are Cristóbal Román for the Kennesaw Jets and David Watkins for the the Connetquot Chiefs.
