Cutshall, Disaster Wallop Belugas in Game 3 of R1
|
The Port Royal Disaster have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Brinkley Belugas, winning 8-2 at Ballpark of Port Royal today. Disaster shortstop Richard Cutshall was named player of the game after he was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win cuts the deficit facing the Disaster to 2-1 in the best-of-5 3L AAA Championship.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fifth when Cutshall hit a solo home run. It propelled the Disaster into the lead, 2-1.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Cutshall.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Ballpark of Port Royal in Port Royal. Slated to start are Aurelio López for Brinkley and Jeff Porter for Port Royal.
