Stokes, York Start 3L A Championship Strong with Home Win
The York Revolution started the 3L A Championship in style today, downing the visiting Grand Forks Caterpillars at York Park by a score of 8-2 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Revolution third baseman Lawrence Stokes was named player of the game after he was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.

Stokes delivered in the bottom of the third inning for York. With the game tied and runners on 1st and 2nd, the third baseman hit a 2-run double to left.

"The vibe's good," said York manager Glenn Draper. "We've got to keep it going."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at York Park. The scheduled starters for the game are George Kane for the Grand Forks Caterpillars and Daniel Edwards for the the York Revolution.
