Submarinos Turn Back Santa Fe, 3-2
|
Arturo Santiago pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Santa Fe Revolvers, despite Santiago's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Amarillo Submarinos at Terriers Ballpark. Amarillo now has a 3-game win streak.
The Submarinos got a big at-bat from second baseman Toshikasu Otani. For the game, Otani was 1 for 3. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 19th hit of the season gave Amarillo a 3-2 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Otani told the Amarillo Observer.
