Hillers Win Again, Extend Streak to 9
|
The Union City Hillers powered past the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 9-4, at Corpus Christi Grounds. Bob Sanders went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. Union City has now won 9 games in a row.
Alejandro Arizméndiz didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to put Union City on top, 2-0.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Arizméndiz. "And not try to do too much."
