Snowpeople Come Back Late to Clip Uruguayans

Ellesmere Island rode a decent outing from starter Jong-yong Ha to victory over the Germantown Uruguayans at Ballpark of Albuquerque. The final score was 7-4. Ellesmere Island reliever Ipe de Deugd got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Dragutin Petrovic was tagged with the loss. Ellesmere Island now owns a record of 42-39.
Had Hjalmar Bisseling not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bisseling hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Snowpeople.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Bisseling.
