|
Germantown right-hander Willis Pittman pitched his team to victory over the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at Ballpark of Albuquerque. The final score was 6-4. Armando Álvarez earned the save, his 12th. Ellesmere Island, at 41-39, has lost 6 straight.
Had Masamune Ueda not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ueda hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Uruguayans.
