Capital Hill turned a good effort from starter Ed Hammond into a win over the Gibtown Elephants at Wrigley Field. The final score was 2-1. Jeffrey Chesser was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 18 of 20 save opportunities. Capital Hill, at 36-33, occupies 5th place in the Silver R.
Alejandro Carrillo, who is tied for 5th in the SR in doubles with 17, helped out the Capital Hill cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 5.
"We did just enough to win," Hammond said.
