The Ogallala Octopi picked up a win at Nebraska Aquarium, knocking off the Valley View Cougars, 5-3. On the mound for Ogallala was left-hander Miguel Ávila, who played a pivotal role in the win. Ogallala goes to 51-26. The win puts them 8 games up in their division.

Had Lauren Hilfiker not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Hilfiker hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Octopi.
