Tian Helps Surprise Cruise to 11-1 Win
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Lao Tian, the Surprise Shockers defeated the Valley View Cougars, 11-1. Tian was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times for the Shockers. Tao Seto earned the win to go to 6-7. He allowed 1 earned run on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Surprise is now 34-38. Valley View is 26-46.

George Mota put Surprise in front, 5-1, when he took Malcolm Bullard downtown. His 2-run home run came with one out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
