The Bompton Baby Lakers got a stellar effort from pitcher Tom Burnett, helping Bompton score a 3-2 win over the visiting Amarillo Submarinos. Burnett went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. His record improves to 4-2. Chet Gibbs picked up the save, his 4th.
One of the key players for the Baby Lakers was left fielder Fergus Stidston, who drilled a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, Stidston was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
"Tom was throwing free and easy," said Bompton manager .
