Left-hander Jian-gun Lin mesmerized the Staten Island Pizza Rats while leading the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople to a 7-0 victory. Albert Johnston finished to wrap up his 3rd save. Ellesmere Island has now won 4 games in a row.

A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Snowpeople sent teenager Basava Puri to the plate against Pizza Rats hurler Ramón Galván. With the bases loaded and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a 1-1 cutter to score 3.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Ellesmere Island manager Javier Ramos.
