The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople got a superb performance from pitcher Marty McFly. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Union City. The Hillers won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, McFly was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings of shutout ball. Union City reliever Orlando Hernández picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Francisco Josafat shouldered the loss. The Hillers now have a mark of 28-24.

The Hillers beat the Snowpeople in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Zi-jing Eng produced in the bottom of the 11th. Batting against Ellesmere Island pitcher Francisco Josafat, Eng gave his team a 4-3 lead when he hit a walk-off run-scoring single.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Eng said.
