Ellesmere Island first baseman César Rivera had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Capital Hill Interns, 13-7. The Snowpeople now have a mark of 22-23.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the second, with the game tied, Teok-kyu Pak was at the plate when Ellesmere Island scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Snowpeople to go in front, 1-0.

Snowpeople manager Javier Ramos wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
