Di Rips Greenport for 5 Hits
|
Qi-chao Di put on a hitting clinic today as the Moose Jaw Canucks dumped the Greenport Harbor Whales 7-4 at Ballpark of Robbins.
The Moose Jaw third baseman made Greenport defenders earn their pay, lashing Greenport pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Di said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Qi-chao Di singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Phillam Alindogan in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
In 21 games Di is hitting .367 this season with 33 hits, 4 home runs, 12 RBIs, 2 walks, .380 OBP and has scored 9 runs.
