In a low-scoring affair between the San Diego Clippers and the Memphis Music, pitcher Cleveland Mortimer was the difference between victory and defeat. The San Diego right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 Clippers win. San Diego now sits in 8th place in the Premier R at 31-35.

Luis López's at-bat in the top of the eighth inning was a big one for San Diego. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and San Diego leading 2-1, the catcher reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run.
