Ogallala Hot Streak Continues with 8-3 Win
|
Ogallala catcher Maverik Buffo made his presence felt in the 8-3 Octopi triumph over the Surprise Shockers. Buffo went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The wins continue to add up for Ogallala, with the latest making it 8 in a row.
Buffo contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Ogallala in the bottom of the sixth. With his team trailing 3-2, Buffo took a cutter from Nathan Bernard and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Octopi to leap in front, 4-3.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Buffo.
