Music Win at Fort Knox, 4-1

The Memphis Music picked up a win at Ballpark of Baxter, knocking off the Fort Knox Centennial, 4-1. Starting pitcher Ángel Martínez was an essential part of his team's success. Martínez got the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 7 hits and walked 4 over 8.2 innings. Martínez allowed 1 earned run. Brant Mielke, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Memphis used the bat of Ernesto Amézaga to get the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Music ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Music manager , "I like our chances."
Memphis is now 24-28.
