Rams Suffer 5-3 Loss to Shockers
|
The Surprise Shockers picked up a win at Ballpark of Wellsville, knocking off the Ladue Rams, 5-3. Starting pitcher Jack Crabb, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Crabb went the distance for Surprise. He gave up 3 earned runs on 10 hits. Surprise is now 22-25.
Had Jody Clark not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Clark hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Shockers.
Crabb called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
