Blue Sox Raise Rally Flag, Beat Phoenix, 6-3

Valley and Phoenix duked it out at Hotspur Kiddie Complex and the Blue Sox came out victorious.
The Valley Blue Sox defeated the Phoenix Hotspur U-21, 6-3, in USPL Single A action at Hotspur Kiddie Complex, with Valley pitcher Anthony Hood named player of the game. Reliever Hans Rager picked up the win. His record improves to 3-1. Juan Escobar took the loss.
Valley used the timely hitting of Grady Harris to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blue Sox on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"I like our moxie," said Blue Sox manager Willis Crawford.
Valley improves to 53-41 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
