Currito Fonseca pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Chicago Tula, despite Fonseca's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Galesburg Guzzlers at Galesburg Field. Jian-gun Fei picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-3. Currito Fonseca was tagged with the loss. Franklin Camarena closed it out for his 2nd save.

Kensaku Hatayama, who leads the PA in triples with 6, helped out the Galesburg cause in the bottom of the first inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3. He drove in 2 runs.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Hatayama.

Galesburg, at 35-39, sits in 8th place in the Premier A.
