Blue Sox Turn Back Phoenix, 4-2

Valley Blue Sox starter Dale Snider turned in a top-notch performance against the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 at The Heron Refuge. The result was a win for the Blue Sox, 4-2. The winning pitcher was Snider, now 8-2. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 11. Valley improves to 43-30 with the win. They lead their division by 2½ games.
Early in the game, first baseman Mark Lizárraga had a 2-run home run for Valley. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Blue Sox on top, 2-0.
