Delaware second baseman Román Ramírez made his presence felt in the 6-4 1787 BC triumph over the South Beach Blaze. Ramírez was 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Delaware reliever Ken Kimberlin picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. António Osorio was saddled with the loss. Butch Cummings earned the save for Delaware, his 15th.
Andrew Irwin aided the Delaware cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1-1.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Irwin.
Delaware, at 37-35, sits in 4th place in the Premier A.
