1787 BC Continue Skid Thanks to Dumervil, Blaze
|
It was a good time at The Ballpark on the Beach, where fans came to watch the Delaware 1787 BC and South Beach Blaze get after it.
A 3-RBI performance from second baseman Dejmi Dumervil, who is tied for 2nd in the PA in extra base hits with 28, led the South Beach Blaze to a 8-3 win over the Delaware 1787 BC. Pu-feng Zhou, who went 8.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 13. His record now stands at 2-0.
Dumervil had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Blaze went on to win.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Dumervil.
The 5th-place 1787 BC have lost 4 straight games.
