Black Cats Fall to Hotspur U-21, 4-2
|
The Phoenix Hotspur U-21 and Gwinnett County Black Cats played an exciting game at Hotspur Kiddie Complex.
The Phoenix Hotspur U-21 got a stellar performance from pitcher Eduardo Arroyo, who handcuffed the Gwinnett County offense en route to a 4-2 win at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. In 6.1 innings, Arroyo surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Earning his 1st save for Phoenix was Mason Beaupit.
Tyler Hannah had a big run-scoring double for the Hotspur U-21 in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Phoenix leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a circle change from Will Kirby and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hotspur U-21 ahead, 3-1.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Hannah told the Phoenix Herald.
Phoenix is now 27-38, while Gwinnett County is 34-31.
