The Walla Walla Walleye topped the Phoenix Hotspur U-21, 3-2, in USPL Single A action at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. The player of the game was Walla Walla pitcher and Pinckneyville, Illinois native Terry Edmonds. Earning his 4th save for Walla Walla was Chris Lowe. Walla Walla is now 30-31, while Phoenix is 25-36.
Walla Walla catcher Alejandro Blasco changed the complexion of the game in the top of the seventh inning. That's when he belted a 3-run home run off Chris Stewart. His 1st home run of the season put Walla Walla in front, 3-2.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Phoenix manager Howard Martínez. "The effort was great."
