Blue Sox Lose, 6-3, at Put-In-Bay Ballpark

It was a fun time at Put-In-Bay Ballpark, where the Valley Blue Sox and Put-In-Bay BC tangled.
Put-In-Bay pitcher Theodore Pillete did his part in helping his team beat the Valley Blue Sox, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Pillete, the winner, moves to 1-4. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 4 walks.
The BC got a big at-bat from designated hitter Steve Albright. For the game, Albright went 1-4. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 32nd hit of the season gave Put-In-Bay a 3-2 lead.
Albright told the Put-In-Bay Observer: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
Put-In-Bay is now riding a 3-game win streak.
