Gwinnett County starter Esteban Rodríguez put a stranglehold on the Galesburg offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Black Cats to a 5-1 win. The win leaves Gwinnett County with a record of 3-4.

The Black Cats got a big at-bat from designated hitter Y-Tic Amanap. For the game, Amanap went 2-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 6th hit of the season gave Gwinnett County a 1-0 lead.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Amanap said.
