The Put-In-Bay BC beat the Galesburg Guzzlers, 11-2, at Galesburg Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of center fielder Yushua Harith, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Jin-guo Quan earned the win for Put-In-Bay. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 9 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. Kenko Nakano earned the save, his 1st, for the BC.

Louie Shufflebotham was 1-2 with a triple, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Put-In-Bay. The 22-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Jung-won Ping. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.

"We came out aggressive," said BC manager Tim Wilson. "We came out swinging the bats."

The BC, now 3-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
