Honoré Slugs Jets to 9-5 Win
|
The Kennesaw Jets downed the Athletic Club KC U-24, 9-5, at Jets Stadium. Thierry Honoré led the way, going 2-for-3 for Kennesaw. Kennesaw improves to 71-17 with the win. They lead their division by 14 games.
Honoré contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Kennesaw in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 3-2, Honoré took a curveball from Scotty Bingham and stroked the home run to right-center. His 16th home run of the season allowed the Jets to leap in front, 6-3.
"We maximized our offense today," said Kennesaw skipper António Sáenz. "That makes everyone's life easier."
