A nice crowd turned out to see the Idaho Falls Chukars and Nebraska Plainsmen clash at Plain Old Stadium.

The Chukars faced a stiff challenge from Nebraska pitcher Mark Parker, but persevered to claim a win at Plain Old Stadium. The final score was 5-1. Parker went 9 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Even with the win, the Chukars have a dismal 24-60 record.

Idaho Falls used the timely hitting of Júlio Madrid to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Chukars on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We take it day by day here," said Madrid, "and today was a good one for us."
