Jets Get One-Run Win at Columbia
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Kennesaw Jets eventually prevailed at Columbia Stadium.
The Kennesaw Jets eked out a 6-5 win versus the Columbia River Rats at Columbia Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Rikkarti Gudmundur, who captured player of the game honors. Júlio Enríquez closed it out for his 5th save.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and one out in the top of the first inning. That's when shortstop Sandor Addicks, who is tied for 10th in the SA in total bases with 127, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Jets went on to win.
"We won," Addicks told assembled media after the game. "I guess that's all that really matters."
The Jets improved to a lofty 67-17.
