Expos Take Down Generals, 11-7
|
The Washington Generals got a superb performance from center fielder Eun-bum Song. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Niagara Falls. The Expos won the game, 11-7. In spite of the loss, Song was named the player of the game. He was 1 for 2 with a triple and 3 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Tung-chi Ran earned his 14th save in 20 chances. Niagara Falls is now 24-58.
Niagara Falls third baseman Francisco Rodríguez helped the Expos to the win. In the bottom of the second inning, the 21-year old shortstop stroked a 2-run single. For the game, Rodríguez went 1-4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Dave Ross said.
