Washington Hot Streak Continues with 7-6 Win
|
The inspired effort of Nebraska catcher Eric Todd was not enough to prevent a 7-6 loss to the Washington Generals. Todd was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Arie de Nooyer closed it out for his 5th save. Washington has now won 7 straight.
Wen-hua Zhào's at-bat in the top of the sixth inning was a big one for Washington. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Washington leading 4-2, the left fielder hit a bases-clearing double.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Washington manager Jacob Curtis.
