Jets Beat Chukars in 10
|
Kennesaw pitcher Dennis Bly did his part in helping his team beat the Idaho Falls Chukars, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winner was Kennesaw reliever Bill Tench, now 3-2. The loser was Dan Gill. The Jets improved to a lofty 56-14.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Sandor Addicks hit a 1-0 fastball from Dan Gill for a run-scoring single. It put Kennesaw in front, 4-3.
"This is a very good team," said Addicks. "We have the chance to do something special."
